When I was doing my diploma in college, I bought my first pair of sneakers called Jordan Ultra Fly. It was not a limited edition sneaker but I fell in love with the design and the comfortability of it hence my relationship with sneakers have blossomed. I have been collecting sneakers for 3 years and honestly, I made a bunch of great friends with a similar interest. For me, by starting off the day with a clean, stylish sneaker sets my mood for the day! There are tons of designs and models of sneakers in the rising industry and I know that everyone has their own favourite pair.
As a sneaker collector, I have listed down my all-time top 5 of sneakers and here I am sharing with you guys right now! Who knows if we might have the same taste!

You can never go wrong with a classic. In 1985, Jordan Brand released the first generation of Air Jordan series. It easy to style and fits almost every outfit in the wardrobe. It comes in a variety of colours and I think it is a “must-have” in your sneaker collection. Also, a lot of brands are collaborating with Nike such as Off White and Travis Scott to create another revolutionary pair of sneakers just like the Air Jordan 1. In my opinion, sneakers represent culture and hype.

Nike Blazer Mid.

First released in 1973, this pair was initially made to be a basketball shoe but however, it has shifted to be a casual/skate shoes. The paradigm shift from a basketball shoe to a casual shoe is due to its over-popularity and the style of the pair. As seen recently, retro sneakers like Nike Blazer has been making its comeback as it is the ideal lifestyle footwear statement among the millennials. With a simple and minimalist design piece of footwear like this, it is definitely one of my favourite sneakers.
Adidas Yeezy 500.

2018 is the hype year as the Chunky shoes which is also called “Dad shoes” are in trend! In April, Adidas had released another series of yeezy- Yeezy 500, designed by Kanye West. When the first release of this sneaker, everyone thought of the design was horrible and uncomfortable due to the lack of boost technologies. But in the end, it became one of the best sellers in 2018 & 2019 and unexpectedly it is extremely comfortable. This goes to show that we should not judge a book by its looks!

We have been talking a lot about the sports brand now let us talk about some designer brands. The fourth pair that made my list is the only and only Balenciaga. Balenciaga had released the first “sock” sneaker in 2017. The first release of this shoe became the talk of the town in many sneaker groups considering the unique style. Until today, I still rock this pair out there and it looks stylish and cool with almost every outfit. What could go wrong while you are just wearing a pair of “sock”?

Nike Air Jordan Four.

Lastly, another Air Jordan series has made into my list! In 1989, Designer Tinker Hatfield designed this beauty, Jordan 4. When it was first released, it was retailed for 100 USD making it the most expensive sneakers in the market. In 1988 to 1989, Michael Jordan wore this pair of beauty and achieved his overall best statistical season with average 32.5 points (sneaker news). Until now, this model is still very popular and considered as a classic for people who love sneakers.
