“Why whine with beer, when you can drink wine?!”
Grabbing a beer and complaining about your bosses at the bar has become a conventional routine in our working culture. This has been heavily influenced by the American culture as it can be seen in most American production - Friends.
Over the years, beer has become an essential item in our daily lives which sets our soul’s free after a stressful day. However, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. A long term beer consumption leads to an accumulation of calories which covert your slender waistline to belly fats.
“French Paradox”, a term originated by the French scientists explained the negative relationship between the amount of consumed fat with the diagnosis of terminal heart diseases. Albeit the high intake of consumed fats by the French, they have low levels of heart diseases, especially compared to the Americans. How is this possible if you ask?
Well, studies show that wine has played a pivotal role in reducing the risks of getting cardiovascular disease. This article will be exploring more about the health benefits of drinking wine.
1. Rich in Antioxidants.
A glass of red wine is made from a variety of grapes which also provides a handful of antioxidants that reduces the oxidative damage in the body such as proanthocyanidins (reduces the risk of cancer). Furthermore, the antioxidants are linked in fighting inflammation and blood clotting as well as reducing the risk of terminal heart diseases.
2. Benefit Heart Health
Researchers believed that red wine with a high concentration of polyphenol antioxidants helps in decreasing the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and metabolic diseases. By drinking red wine in moderation, this helps by retaining the "good" HDL cholesterol in the blood.
3. Promote Healthy Gut Bacteria
Recent studies support that red wine promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria which improve the metabolic syndrome markets in people with obesity.
Take-Away Notes:
Despite red wine being connected with some of the benefits, but zero of them are encouraging alcohol consumption.
If you are already drinking red wine, then there is no necessary to stop drinking it (Unless you are drinking over)
As long as you don’t drink more than 1 – 2 glasses a day, you will be fine.
