Djakarta Warehouse Project (DWP) is the largest annual dance music festival in the Southeast Asia region. The festival takes place at the end of the year — during the month of December, at the JiExpo Kemayoran Convention Centre in Jakarta. The passionate organizer of this lively festival is the Ismaya Live Group. To give you a little back story on how this all started, it all dates back to the year 2008. DWP was merely just a club event that took place in one of Jakarta’s famous Blowfish Club, therefore it was then known as the “Blowfish Warehouse Project”. Only in 2010, did it become an annual one-day event and expanded into a two-day event in 2014. Since then, the festival had been a success and even expanded to a three-day event last and this year, achieving world-wide recognition from people all over the world.  Last year DWP celebrated their 10th year anniversary at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park in Badung regency Bali, but this year they will be returning to their home ground at JiExpo Kemayoran Convention Centre in Jakarta.

Line Up and Music Expectations

DWP is known for bringing crazy line ups that feature international big names from the electronic dance music (EDM) industry. To name a few, major renowned EDM artists such as Martin Garrix, Alan Walker, Showtek, Skrillex and Hardwell have made their appearance in DWP in the past. The festival also showcases a variety of diverse electronic dance music in the dance music spectrum. Ranging from electronic dance music, to trap, trance, dubstep, and hardstyle as well. In DWP 2017, even hip-hop acts made their debut to the festival. Hosting the entire 88 rising clan and famous rapper from Atlanta, Desiinger. In DWP X 2018, they hosted another famous rapper – The Weeknd, who was the main attraction and one of the headliners for their 10th year anniversary.

The iconic “Garuda Land” mainstage set up and two sub-stages.

Having multiple stages performing different genres, the iconic main stage is known as “Garuda Land”. This stage is where the main acts are showcased. The display is a 26-metre-tall Garuda bird – the national symbol of Indonesia, with the DJ booth in the centre, facing the ravers. If that sounds amusing, there’s more! The impeccable build of the Garuda stage comes with fireworks, laser lights, pyrotechnics and high production visuals on the screen. It becomes a beautiful cinematic experience when accompanied with melodic beats from the international DJs. There will also be 2 sub-stages for the sub genres of EDM.
